BotHELL House of Horrors
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to some common questions are listed below, but if you don't find what you're looking for please feel free to get in touch via our Facebook or Reach Us page.
Q. Does your haunt cost money?
A. Nope! Our haunt is open to all for free on Halloween night.
(But, since haunting does get expensive your donations are always accepted with thanks)
Q. When are you open?
A. One night only, HALLOWEEN, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm
Q. Is it scary?
A. We hope so! We do our best to scare you silly, but for those who
prefer some scream-free fun our Low-Scare hours are from 5:00 to 7:00.
Q. Why does BotHELL House of Horrors exist?
A. If you've read our "About us" then you know we're just a family of major Halloween enthusiasts who enjoy bringing the fun of fear to the nice families of Bothell. We've also acted and designed for professional haunts
(be sure to check out Nile Nightmares!) and like bringing a little slice
of the haunting life home with us.
Q. Is your haunt all-ages?
A. Yes, everyone is welcome to enjoy our walkthrough home haunt, however very young trick-or-treaters (and wimpy parents) might prefer our
Low-Scare hours from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
Q. But seriously, IS IT SCARY?
A. Over the years we've tried our best to scare the pants off the neighborhood, but we also know sometimes you just want the candy!
Our Low-Scare hours will allow little ones, jumpy parents, and anyone
who's always wanted to visit the haunt but has a mild heart condition
to walk through the halls without actors present, so you may get a little
spooked, but you *probably* won't run screaming into the night.
*Note that lights and sound will be running during Low-Scare hours.
Q. Will anyone or anything touch me?
A. Not intentionally! Our actors and props do not try to touch or grab any visitors, but our hallways are narrow and it may happen accidentally from time to time. We ask that you Do Not Touch Our Actors or Props, and they will do their best not to touch you.
Q. Are you open Rain or Shine?
A. Yes! The rain hasn't shut us down yet, and unless a tsunami blows our house away we will happily remain open in the rain and provide a nice
dry space for you to rest, and then scream your brains out.
Q. Is it Accessible?
A. Unfortunately at this time our hallways are not ADA compliant, but we are happy to share our candy with anyone who cannot walk through the full haunt for any reason.
We also participate in the Teal Pumpkin Project and offer
non-food treats, just ask!
**Note that our haunt does have strobe effects, low light, ambient music and horror-themed props and is not a sensory-friendly zone.
